Time has flown since the Uehiro Oxford Institute came into existence on 1 October 2024! We continue to seek to improve the world through engagement with others – what we call ‘Thought into Action’ – and have made great progress in fulfilling our mission to work philosophically across many disciplines, including medicine, history, law, computer science, psychology, and others. Among much else, we have recently appointed two new post-doctoral research fellows in our moral psychology programme, many activities are planned for our programme in public health humanities, and we hope soon to be announcing developments in our visitors’ programme. We are deeply grateful to the Uehiro Foundation on Ethics and Education for making our work possible, and to the many others who have helped us along the way.
